A cogeneration prototype system, currently under development, that produces electricity and hot water with a PEM Fuel Cell. The usual application of this system is to provide energy to a home.
This prototype can supply an electrical power of750W. The heat produced by the FC is used to warmup water, which is stored in a tank. The system can be fed with natural gas or with Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) instead of hydrogen, in order to reduce the cost of the fuel. It includes are former that transforms the natural gas or LPG to hydrogen by steam reforming method.
