Wines with a taste of the sea...The vineyards of Quinta da Malaca, owned by the Cabrita family, are located between the Salgados lagoon, in Albufeira, and Praia Grande, in Pêra, 1.5 kilometers from the southern coast of the country. This proximity to the Atlantic Ocean gives saline notes to the Malaca mono varieties and the blends of Vale de Parra de Quinta da Malaca, all of which are made from their own grapes. The choice of bottles, recycling, manual harvesting, pesticide reduction and effective control of water resources are all measures that are emphasised in the context of sustainability. The estate covers 80 hectares, 30 of which are rainfed vineyards planted in sandy soils. The oldest vines date back to 1954 and the first certified vintage dates back to 2020, made from Castelão. The latest novelty is the first Riesling in the Algarve in white reserve format.
