The Spanish company, always looking for new challenges, analyzes how to export its experience in Cybersecurity and Digital Transformation to Europe
Procesia has accumulated in the last year and a half a wide experience in Cybersecurity support for different branches of the Spanish Defense Administration. As a result of the call of the General Secretariat for Digital Administration, since 2023 the company has been working with different bodies of the Ministry of Defense, including the National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA), the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) or the Social Institute of the Armed Forces (ISFAS), which it helps to improve their ability to defend against cyberattacks, while at the same time to comply rigorously with the regulations, set out in the National Security Scheme.
The company is also included in the Register of Defense Industries of the Secretary of State for Defense (SEDEF) and in the Spain, Defense and Security Industry catalog prepared by the Metalia Group.
Experience for new challenges
Now, together with other projects that that have dual nature, Procesia has decided to take a new step. It is heading towards the path that Brussels opened in 2019 with the European Defence Fund (EDF) in order to contribute to the research and development of community defense systems. In this way, the Spanish firm intends to contribute its expertise, accumulated in its ten years of civilian experience, to try to reduce the European Union's dependence on foreign countries in defense matters.
Specifically, the company believes that its extensive knowledge can make it a reliable partner in three call topics, called Cyber, Digital Transformation and Disruptive Technologies, for which it has already begun contacts in order to find partners that will allow it to opt for one of the projects. It is no coincidence that the European Commission establishes, in the eligibility criteria, that at least three different companies from three different countries must be part of each initiative.
Active participation
In addition to the contacts initiated, Procesia is constantly documenting and gathering information in order to establish the best synergies. In its eagerness to be up to date, representatives of the company recently attended the information day held in Madrid on the EDF 2025 call organized by the Directorate General for Strategy and Innovation of the Defense Industry (DIGEID), in collaboration with Isdefe. The Spanish company will also participate in the EDF Infodays to be held on April 2 and 3 in Brussels.
Undoubtedly, the EDF is a new challenge for a company accustomed to leading the way in the changing designs of Digital Transformation and Cybersecurity.
