Procesia has once again participated in the XVIII Jornadas STIC del CCN-CERT, a crucial event in the field of cybersecurity in Spain. Held at the Kinépolis Ciudad de la Imagen cinemas, this conference brought together leading experts and professionals from the sector under the slogan “Active cyber defense for a digital world”. 

A reference Mmeting on Cybersecurity

From November 26 to 28, the Spanish capital reaffirmed its role as a global benchmark in cybersecurity with the celebration of the XVIII STIC CCN-CERT | VI ESPDEF-CERT Cyberdefense Conference. This outstanding event brought together more than 7,000 professionals from 30 countries, marking a new milestone in participation and relevance within the sector.

Under the direction of the National Cryptologic Center (CCN), the Joint Cyberspace Command (MCCE) and RootedCON, and with the support of 81 sponsoring companies, this edition was consolidated as an essential meeting for the industry. In addition, there were 15 collaborating entities and a wide coverage by specialized media that contributed to enrich the experience of the attendees.

During the three-day event, more than 150 experts addressed today's most pressing cybersecurity challenges. The inauguration, led by figures such as the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, and the Secretary of State Director of the CNI, Esperanza Casteleiro, highlighted the commitment to a secure and responsible cyberspace. In this context, the Career Achievement Award was presented to Rosalina Porres, for her work in the accreditation of cybersecurity systems, as well as other awards such as the Atenea and Grey Beret awards.

The event was also the setting for the Legislators' Forum, where congressmen and senators from Europe and Latin America discussed legislative advances in cybersecurity, underlining the importance of international collaboration in this critical area.

The XVIII CCN-CERT STIC Conference has established itself as a benchmark event in the field of cybersecurity, attracting experts and professionals from all over the world.One of the main focuses of the XVIII CCN-CERT STIC Conference was the analysis of the latest cyber threats and emerging trends. International experts shared their knowledge on the latest tactics and techniques used by cybercriminals, as well as best practices to mitigate these risks. Case studies on recent attacks were discussed and innovative solutions to protect critical information and systems were presented.

Another highlight of the CCN-CERT's XVIII Jornadas STIC was the presentation of the latest technological innovations in the field of cybersecurity. Leading technology companies showcased their latest products, from artificial intelligence solutions for threat detection to advanced encryption and data protection tools. These innovations are essential to stay one step ahead in an ever-evolving threat environment.

Defense also had its space

Cyber defense strategies in the military also took center stage at the XVIII Jornadas STIC del CCN-CERT. Representatives from the armed forces and cyber defense experts discussed the tactics and strategies used to protect critical infrastructures and national defense systems. Similarities and differences between cybersecurity in the civilian and military sectors were explored, and lessons learned from recent cyber operations were highlighted.
